The bottle
Everything in its right place.
Made in New Zealand, designed to be kept. Every choice is there because it earns its place in a considered home: the weight, the pump, the screen-printed body.

One clean press. The head seats square, the nozzle comes back to the same place, and water drains off the seam.

01 · The material
Sugarcane and post-consumer recycled plastic.
The vessel is high-density polyethylene from two sources: sugarcane-derived resin and plastic that has been used and recycled once already. Two sources on purpose: plant-based resin alone takes land to grow, recycled alone loses strength and feel. Together they hold the weight and finish a bottle needs to stay on the counter. Apex, the maker, puts the carbon saving against virgin plastic at 40 to 60%. Judged at the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2025, a first-time entrant among 560 entries from 40 countries, and a winner. PIDA Gold 2024, Health, Beauty and Wellness.

The artwork is printed directly onto the bottle. Made from sugarcane-based and recycled plastic, it is designed to stay by the tap for years.

03 · The pump
A pump that seats the same way every time.
The thread is cut to a set length so the head sits square, the nozzle returns to the same position after every press, and a drainage hole on the seam lets water run off instead of pooling.

04 · The refill
Keep the pump bottle. Replace what is inside.
The 600ml hand wash refill is registered in India and follows the first shipment. One pump bottle on the counter, refilled, is the whole point of building it this well.

05 · The loop
In New Zealand, the bottle goes round again.
At home in New Zealand the maker takes bottles back with Anew and Will and Able: clean ones are refilled, damaged ones become raw material for new ones. India has no collection yet, so here the bottle is built to be kept and refilled.

06 · When it is done
Rinse. Pull the pump tube. Recycle the bottle.
The bottle is HDPE, which Indian kerbside and kabadiwala collection takes. Remove the pump and its tube first, because the spring inside it is metal.
