Questions
The questions people ask.
01What does certified natural actually mean here?
Biorius, an independent natural cosmetics certifier in Belgium, audited each formula ingredient by ingredient and certified its natural content. It is third-party verification, not a standard we wrote ourselves, and both figures are published to the decimal on every product page.
02Is it really made in New Zealand?
Yes. Manufactured in New Zealand under FernMark Licence No. 100709, the New Zealand Government's official origin mark. The licence is on the public NZ Story register and can be checked by anyone.
03Which one is best for sensitive skin?
For sensitive skin, we suggest Coconut Milk or Sage and Lime Zest. Both are dermatologically tested and non-irritant. Please perform a patch test first if your skin is highly reactive.
04Why is it not 100% natural?
Because it has to stay safe on a shelf for three years, and it has to foam and rinse. A wash is mostly water, and anything with water in it needs a preservative or it spoils. Ours is Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate, the same pair used in food, and the certifier counts them as not natural. So is the fragrance, and so is part of the coconut-derived surfactant that makes it lather, because it is processed from coconut oil rather than pressed from it. The origin figure says what a thing is made from. The content figure says what is unprocessed. We publish these to three decimals for every bottle on its product page. This avoids rounding and keeps the data exact. A wash that says 100 percent natural on the front is worth two questions: who certified it, and how long it lasts open.
05Why is the artwork screen-printed onto the bottle?
The artwork is screen-printed directly onto the bottle. The bottle is made from sugarcane-based and recycled plastic. Remove the pump tube before recycling.
06What is Defence Care+?
The named cleansing system in Sage and Lime Zest, built around Magnolia Bark for enhanced cleansing that stays gentle. Aloe and Sage calm the skin and hold moisture in, Pomegranate and Lime Pearl brighten.
07What is left out of the formulas?
No parabens, PEGs, EDTA, silicones, propylene glycol, synthetic colour, GMOs or harsh detergents. Vegan and cruelty-free, never tested on animals at any stage.
08Can I refill the bottle?
It is designed to be refilled and kept. The 600ml hand wash refill and the 900ml body wash are registered in India and are planned to follow the first shipment.
09Who imports it into India?
Kiwiyana Imports Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, is the importer and seller of record. The products are registered with the CDSCO under RC/COS-006948, and the importer, net quantity, MRP and month of import are published on every product page.
10Is Only Good hand wash dermatologically tested?
Three formulas are: Sage and Lime Zest hand wash, Coconut Milk hand wash and Coconut Milk body wash. Each was patch tested in India, read by a dermatologist, and rated non-irritant on normal and sensitive skin. Peach and Honeysuckle and Cedarwood and Juniper carry no such claim, because they were not tested.
11Can I use Only Good if I have eczema or very dry, reactive skin?
Only Good is a cosmetic wash, not a treatment, and it does not claim to help any skin condition. Three formulas were patch-tested in India under a dermatologist and rated non-irritant on normal and sensitive skin: Sage and Lime Zest hand wash, Coconut Milk hand wash and Coconut Milk body wash. Every formula is fragranced, so if your dermatologist has told you to avoid fragrance, choose a fragrance-free wash instead. The full ingredient list is printed on every product page, in order, so you can check it against your own list before you buy.
12What is the difference between natural origin and natural content?
Natural origin is the share of the formula made from natural sources, including ingredients processed from them. Natural content is the share that is natural and unprocessed. Biorius in Belgium measured both for every product, and both are printed on each product page to three decimals, for example 86.622% natural content and 97.875% natural origin for Coconut Milk hand wash 300ml.
13Does it contain sulphates?
Yes, and we say so. Every formula contains Sodium Coco-Sulfate, a surfactant processed from coconut oil, which is what makes the wash lather and rinse. The certifier counts it towards natural origin and not towards natural content, which is one reason the two figures differ.
14Who makes Only Good?
Apex Brands Ltd of Auckland, New Zealand, a cosmetics manufacturer founded in 2015 with its own laboratory and registered to ISO 9001. Only Good is its brand, made and designed in New Zealand under FernMark licence 100709.
15Which products are in the India range?
Four hand washes at 300ml: Sage and Lime Zest, Coconut Milk, Peach and Honeysuckle, Cedarwood and Juniper. Three body washes at 400ml: Coconut Milk, Peach and Honeysuckle, Cedarwood and Juniper. Every one is a clear gel in a screen-printed bottle.
16Where can I buy Only Good in India?
On onlygood.in, delivered across India by Kiwiyana Imports Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, and on Amazon.in, where Only Good has a brand store. The same seven products are sold on both.
