For the house you are turning up to

A housewarming gift
with a certificate.

It sits on the counter where guests see it, and it is the only thing in the room that can prove what it says about itself. Made in New Zealand, certified in Belgium, printed rather than labelled.

Peach & Honeysuckle

Why it works as a gift

It stays out.

A screen-printed bottle with no plastic label is designed to be left on the counter rather than hidden in a cupboard. That is what makes it a gift someone keeps using and a gift the giver gets credit for twice.

Most gifts in this bracket are forgettable.

Candles get stored. Sweets get eaten and forgotten. A wash at this price is used every day, in the room guests visit, by a household that did not have to choose it.

What is in the pair

  1. 01

No parabens, PEGs, EDTA, silicones, propylene glycol, synthetic colour, GMOs or harsh detergents. Vegan and cruelty-free.

  2. 02

Screen-printed onto the bottle rather than labelled, so there is one material to recycle and nothing to peel off first.

  3. 03

A pump with a flat top wide enough to press with the back of a hand, which is the detail the WorldStar 2025 citation names.

Is it too personal a gift

Less than most. It is unscented in the sense that matters for a gift: nobody has to like a perfume to use a hand wash, and the four scents are quiet by design rather than loud.

Awards and certification

Two awards.
Two certifications.

The World Packaging Organisation gave this bottle a WorldStar in 2025. A year before that it won gold at the packaging awards for Australia and New Zealand. Biorius in Belgium checks what is in the bottle, and the New Zealand government checks where it is made. We did not give ourselves any of them.

Each one covers something different. The two packaging awards looked at the bottle and the pump. They say nothing about the formula. Biorius checks only the formula. The FernMark checks only where it was made.

“Pump design with large, flat surface area suitable for children and elderly users.”

The judges wrote that line about the pump. The pump is on the hand wash. The body wash has a disc top instead.

The Biorius certification card for Cedarwood & Juniper Hand Wash.
Biorius is a certifier in Belgium. They check what is in the bottle and measure it separately for every size, so a 300ml hand wash and a 400ml body wash come out at different numbers. All seven pairs, as certified

The questions people ask.

01What does certified natural actually mean here?

Biorius, an independent natural cosmetics certifier in Belgium, audited each formula ingredient by ingredient and certified its natural content. It is third-party verification, not a standard we wrote ourselves, and the figure is printed to the decimal on the pack.

02Is it really made in New Zealand?

Yes. Manufactured in Auckland under FernMark Licence No. 100709, the New Zealand Government's official origin mark. The licence is on the public NZ Story register and can be checked by anyone.

03Which one is best for sensitive skin?

Coconut Milk is the mildest in the range and is dermatologically tested to be non-irritant on normal and sensitive skin, mean irritation score 0.00. Sage and Lime Zest was tested to the same result. If your skin is highly reactive, patch-test first.

04Why is it not 100% natural?

Because it has to stay safe on a shelf for three years, and it has to foam and rinse. A wash is mostly water, and anything with water in it needs a preservative or it spoils. Ours is Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate, the same pair used in food, and the certifier counts them as not natural. So is the fragrance, and so is part of the coconut-derived surfactant that makes it lather, because it is processed from coconut oil rather than pressed from it. Biorius audits every ingredient against strict definitions and gives two figures. Natural origin, what the ingredients are made from, is 96 to 98 percent. Natural content, what has had nothing done to it, is 86 to 87 percent. We print both, unrounded, because rounding up to 100 would be a claim rather than an audit. A wash that says 100 percent natural on the front is worth two questions: who certified it, and how long it lasts open.

05Why is there no label on the bottle?

The artwork is screen-printed directly onto the bottle. There is no plastic label to peel off or throw away, and the bottle is made from recycled and sugarcane HDPE. Remove the pump tube before recycling.

06What is Defence Care+?

The named cleansing system in Sage and Lime Zest, built around Magnolia Bark for enhanced cleansing that stays gentle. Aloe and Sage calm the skin and hold moisture in, Pomegranate and Lime Pearl brighten.

07What is left out of the formulas?

No parabens, PEGs, EDTA, silicones, propylene glycol, synthetic colour, GMOs or harsh detergents. Vegan and cruelty-free, never tested on animals at any stage.

08Can I refill the bottle?

It is designed to be refilled and kept. The 600ml hand wash refill and the 900ml body wash are registered in India and are planned to follow the first shipment.

09Who imports it into India?

Kiwiyana Imports Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, is the importer and seller of record. The products are registered with the CDSCO under RC/COS-006948, and the importer, net quantity, MRP and month of import are printed on every product page.

Your hands wash ten times a day. Give them the certified one. We can prove everything except which scent you’ll love.
